Are you a Texas Maternal Mental Health Provider?
More than 600,000 women suffer from a maternal mental health disorder in the U.S. each year. Yet fewer than 15% will receive treatment. *
You can help improve the lives of mothers in Texas by identifying as a provider who can care for members with maternal mental health conditions.
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking behavioral health providers to update their directory listings if they have any of the following expertise:
- Perinatal and postpartum depression
- Anxiety disorders
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Bipolar illness, which may include psychotic symptoms
- Substance use disorders (SUDs), occurring within 12 months postpartum
It’s simple to update your info
Log in to the Provider Express secure portal and follow these steps:
- Log-in (upper right corner)
- Select My Practice Info, then Clinician Information
- Click New Attested Area of Expertise (AOE)
- Select the Maternal Mental Health expertise
Increase your know-how
Check out this OptumHealth Education™ course about the importance of identification and early intervention for pregnant and postpartum women with SUDs.
