Notification Required for SUD Complex Care 

Do you provide outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) services – specifically procedure code 90882 – to UnitedHealthcare Community Plan members?

If so, remember to notify UnitedHealthcare within two business days of when treatment begins, or you could be subject to a Medical Necessity Review. 

There are two ways to submit the notification:

Online – With a few quick clicks, you can submit notifications through the UnitedHealthcare Provider Portal

• Sign in to the secure portal from UHCprovider.com using your One Healthcare ID.

• On your dashboard, ensure the correct Payer and Provider are displayed and click the Prior Authorizations & Notifications tab to get started.
