New Areas of Expertise Show Providers’ Military Affiliations
Many people want to support the military by consciously choosing to shop at businesses owned by veterans. And they also may choose a provider with that in mind. You now have the option to indicate your military experience or connection in your directory listing.
Check out these new military options
First, you indicate your connection to the military:
- Military Service Member
- Military Spouse
- Military Child/Parent/Caregiver
- DoD Civilian
Then, you can choose a specific military branch:
- Army Affiliation
- Air Force Affiliation
- Navy Affiliation
- Marine Corps Affiliation
- Space Force Affiliation
- Coast Guard Affiliation
- National Guard Affiliation
- Reserves Affiliation
- Expeditionary Civilian Affiliation
When updating your directory profile, you can specify multiple affiliations* to indicate your military experience and your relationship with military members. For example, if you were in the Army and your daughter is now a Marine, you could select Military Service Member, Army Affiliation, Military Child/Parent/Caregiver and Marine Corp Affiliation.
In addition to the military affiliations, other specialty expertise options have also been added:
- Addiction Recovery Treatment Services (ARTS) for Office-Based Addictions*
- Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic*
- CET (Cognitive Enhancement)
- Comp Community Support (CCSS);
- Medicare IOP in OTP Setting*
- Perinatal Mental Health Certification*
- Smoking Cessation Treatment (OBAT).
- Therapeutic Family Care (TFC) Mobile Crisis*
- Therapeutic Family Care Crisis Services
- Maintenance and Response (TFC CSMR)*
How to update your information
Simply log in to the Provider Express secure portal and follow these steps:
- Log-in (upper right corner)
- Select My Practice Info, then Clinician Information
- Click New Attested AOE
- Select the expertise
*These AOEs aren’t part of the required 90-day attestation review. Providers will need to go to the Provider Express secure portal to select the ones that apply.
